The rocks will cry out

A few weeks ago I mentioned that the church could do a better job of sharing testimonies that have to do with our relationship with money. I just got a great link from my sister to a little article that ran recently in People Magazine about some friends of ours. Take a look!

    Erika,
    I just wanted to check in and see how you, Doug and the family are doing.

    Cool and improbable.

    I’ve only glanced through People mag at 24 Hour Fitness a couple of times when bored and looking for any kind of reading material to dull the tedium late in the workout on a Stair Master.

    If folks like Tom and Bree can get into the underbelly of the national media God may have plans for something new and interesting.

    Who knows what could happen? Black men could be president. People living simply could be thought successful.

    Thanks for the reference to the article in People magazine. I made copies available to our church yesterday. Gosh, there really are people who do this kind of thing. There’s hope!!!!

    So this is a bit weird, but Bree was my roommate in college and I think your sister was my staffworker…nevermind that I found your blog through the blogroll of someone I knew in elementary school…

    Anyhow, Do you know what issue of PEOPLE that was in? I’d like to get a copy of it myself.

    Ali,

    What a great, small world it is sometimes! I am pretty sure it is a December issue of People–I think it says that at the bottom of the pic somewhere, but I think People is weekly so that would only narrow it down somewhat :) I can ask Bree and let you know!
