great line Erika...that has been on my mind as well as I ponder what it means to speak the truth in love.  far too often I see the spirit of 'debate' bowl over the gentle spirit of, well...the Spirit.  As if debate ever elicited conversion...seems to just promote entrenchment in opposing views.</description>

first, i love that you are watching the 6-hour BBC version of P&amp;P...I have long been boring Douglas with my opinions of Mr. Darcy and modern day men...

second, i think that douglas is quite good at civility and honor in the way he addresses others. that's something he has always challenged me with - 

good thoughts - and good direction to take the watching of this film.</description>

Has always been too much for me, it has.

I think we are most dangerous to others when we are filled with our own "rightness." It can take the edge off of the humility necessary to get closer to people. Most of the mistakes I have made in relationships have come from being right.</description>
