Erika! Hello to you and Doug. Shalla found your site and it is lovely. I really like the layout and I hope to read more of your thoughts here. I'm still looking for that female mentor.

It's been a blessing to read about your adventures in West Adams over the past two years or so. Having lived on 20th St with CSM for 6 months, I admire your dedication to the call God placed on your heart to "in and for Redeemer" and the surrounding area.

Having spent the past week with the Guerrero's (my aunt and uncle), and hearing how excited they are to have you reminded me of all the things God can accomplish when we let ourselves be transformed by his love and direction.

Stay warm and dry!

Hi Erika,

Great to see your blog! It's been quite a few years, but I think you were in my Greek class in 2003. I enjoyed reading a few of your posts, and I will come back again soon to read more!

Hey Erika,

So good to find you here... you were mentioned on Jesus Creed, and I thought, "Really Erika?" I hope all is well with you and your family.

Erika,
Thanks for responding to my email so quickly. It
was a fun New Years Eve reading up on your past
email devotions. I love your honesty and the questions you raise. I can even relate to the stories about your children as I watch my 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 year old grandsons at least once a week.
I plan on recommending your website to my niece,
daughter-in-law and others at church that have young families so that they can be enriched by your thoughts and daily activities. Of course, I plan on reading them each day as well so I can continue to grow into the person God created me to be. In His Name, Bob

Bob,
Thank you so much for your very kind words! It is always meaningful to hear that an offering we make is used to bless one or many. My Mom has a framed copy of that Philippians 2 devotional on her dresser at home, so I am reminded often enough of that particular piece.
Blessings!

Hi Erika,
It was so exciting today when I opened the latest
Covenant Home Altar and read your writings for the
week of Feb.25. The devotions you wrote in November, 1996 were very meaningful to me and I actually used them to open up three Christian Ed.
Meetings at church this past fall. I was especially moved by your writing of Nov.30,1996
which was titled A Life Of Imitation from Philippians 2:1-11.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We are working on creating a church website (we are a church plant too, and oh how many things there are to do...some happen sooner than others!). We should likely have one up and running this next month. I will be sure to post it when we do!

Our church is called "Church of the Redeemer" and we are affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Hey Erika, have just recently run into your blog from Mark Galli's and have enjoyed your insights. Just wondered if you have a website for the church that you are involved with that I could locate. I could not seem to find the name of your church on this blog. Just wondered if there is some place that I could check your church out. Keep writing your ideas in public view - they have deeply blessed me. - Shane Fuller (Pastor of a new church Plant in Indianapolis, IN called "The Dwelling place"
