Birds and lilies

Rarely do I find myself speechless here, and it is with ease that I write my (usually) daily posts. Today, however, I am simply too overwhelmed to speak, and if I even try to type the tears flow. They are tears of immense gratitude for a gift undeserved; they are tears of awe over a God who hears the cries of his children; they are tears of knowing that the words of a song I loved to sing as a child are true:

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”

  1. Sharing your joy … Was just thinking about you on the sidewalk on the way home and was delighted to find your trail so I can thank Him with you.

  2. Erika –
You probably don’t remember me, but I was a few years ahead of you at North Park. I saw your website mentioned in the Covenant Home Altar and have been reading it periodically. I have been moved by your thoughts and inspirations. I ended up marrying Luke Swanson and we are serving in an inner city church in Minneapolis, MN. I actually work for our public school system. I have been able to connect with many of your thoughts and experiences. We just had our second baby a month ago – so can relate to your pregnancy and toddler thoughts and comments.
Thank you for sharing how the Lord is working in your life and in your ministry.

  3. Sarah,

How wonderful to hear from you–and of course I remember you and Luke! I appreciate you taking the time to comment and connect!

Congratulations on the birth of your second child and please tell Luke hello from me as well. It sounds like we all have a fair share in common in how the Lord is calling us to serve 🙂
